Ristorante Adria in Giessen

I've been living in Giessen for a good 14 years now. Until now, I only knew Ristorante Adria from the outside. Normally, I've always wanted to try Ristorante Adria. I can't say why it had never happened before. I dont know. But that has changed since yesterday. Because you can currently not eat on site due to Corona, I / we used the delivery service that is currently offered by Ristorante Adria. Since I and my colleague were on night shift together this week and our last night shift of this month had to be completed from yesterday to today, it is decided to have the Ristorante Adria deliver food to us. I took a Gamberetti pizza and my hungry colleague ordered a large Tonno salad and a Toscana pizza. As indicated on the phone by one of the employees there, the delivery took about 35 minutes. The "pizza delivery boy" was very friendly. Praise to this one. The pizzas had a diameter of 30 cm. What can I say? I myself have now regretted never having been to Ristorante Adria before. My pizza Gamberetti was really delicious and had enough shrimp and garlic on top. My colleague was also more than satisfied with his Pizza Toscana and his large Tonno salad. The pizzas had a completely different quality than I / we were used to from the "usual" delivery services. At Ristorante Adria you notice that there is no mass processing here, as is usual with other providers. Myself and my colleague agree that we will definitely not have eaten something from or at Ristorante Adria for the last time. After Corona or if a visit is possible again on site, I will be a guest at Ristorante Adria with my wife. Then there is a glass of wine with dinner, unlike at work.

Ekrem Korkutata and his entire team are exemplary and always very (hospitable) friendly and courteous in serving true culinary delights using the best ingredients. Absolutely and unreservedly recommendable. One, if not the best, Italian cuisine that Giessen currently has to offer! Thank you for the many very nice and enjoyable evenings that we were allowed to spend with you, we always like to come back. Unfortunately, I can only award five stars, for tonight and the delicacies served, twice as much would be appropriate.

Food and homemade soda just great

Service very friendly and good. Have ordered puzza .. nicely prepared, taste is subjective - was a bit greasy and oily, but okay on the verge of four stars - but still give 5 😉

Visited the store for the first time today but it won't be the last time. Great value for money, great taste, great service and a wonderful place in the pavilion, I can only recommend it.

Have ordered time to pick up in the Corona. Pizza was ready after 15 minutes, optically and in taste good to very good. However, as we unfortunately only find out at home, the calculation was very complicated. In addition, things appeared on the bill that we did not order and did not have on the pizza. A pity

Were on site for lunch, the food was delicious and fresh. The prices / performance very good. The highlight for us was the service, young man absolutely authentic and relaxed, very professional.

After more than 30 years I was here today, somehow it never worked although in good memory! That will not happen to me anymore ... Today we had this beautiful place for 2 in the heated winter garden, which is also beautifully decorated, everything clean, bright and friendly. Since we love pizza at "Italian" more than anything, we can make comparisons! In short "the pizza was fantastic" ... I do not know what could be better, bright and yet crispy - no liquid or other "pampe" on the bottom of the plate and even knives that RIGHTLY cut, attentive and very nice service We take off our hat, it was exactly the same as we said: We will be back !!!

Cozy restaurant with very nice staff and good food. This afternoon I was there for the third time. The food was excellent again. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and no finished products are used. A clear recommendation!

This was unfortunately the worst pizza I have eaten in the restaurant so far. For 11 € there was drögen, dry dough as a frozen pizza. I would be very surprised if it were homemade. If you do, you should change the recipe or let the dough go. In addition, the pizza dripped with fat (see photo, on which the hard dough is recognizable). For the first time in my life, I did not eat food in a restaurant and did not let it pack. Sorry, but that was a disappointment - especially at the prices. There is much better pizza in Gießen and even cheaper.

Nice atmosphere, good noodles but the pizza dough is not homemade (noted in the menu).

Pizza with cheap cheese instead of mozzarella. Ambience is nice, though. *** Update: I have further reduced my evaluation to one star after receiving a quite outrageous reply from the restaurant (blaming me for not reading the menu properly). Fact is: the vast majority of pizzas in this place (including the standard varieties) is made with cheap cheese that one would never find on any Italian pizza. If you want normal pizza with mozzarella, I would instead go to places like Pizzeria Olive.

Incredible food and service!! Wish I could give an extra star for a bonus rating. The staff were unbelievable.. came at the perfect times and very kind. Food was to die for. We had the rumpsteak and mixed meat platter with scampi for the appetizer.. not necessarily just a Italian pizza place. Highly recommend!!
